How to Transfer a Car Title in New Hampshire

To introduce a car title in the state of New Hampshire, it’s a good idea to read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines on the title, and read any instructions on the title before you start filling in the information.

  1. On the line that says “Buyer(s),” print the name of the person buying the vehicle. Note that if two people are buying it, both of their names should go on that line.
  2. On the next line, print the buyer’s full address.
  3. Under that is a short line where you can write in the vehicle’s current odometer reading. In the next line of text is a line for you to write the date of the odometer reading.
  4. The seller should sign their name on the next blank line. Right next to that is a line where the seller can print their name.
  5. If a second person owes the vehicle, they can sign and print their name on the next set of lines.
  6. Under these lines is another set of lines where the buyer(s) can sign and print their name(s). Again, if two people buy the vehicle, they must get their information on these lines.
